Yesterday, March 1, 2021, we announced more details about Pout-Pout Fish: The Movie through Kidscreen and shared a closer look at the key art for the property.

What we love about the Pout-Pout Fish stories is how they help kids with social-emotional learning, including self-identity, resilience and kindness.

From our CEO, Cyma Zarghami:

“The unique look of Pout-Pout Fish and the successful sales history of the books gives the brand a lot to offer. These films will help us test the IP’s potential and get to market quick–so we can reach kids.”

These productions are targeted specifically to preschoolers between the ages of three and five.

Cyma adds, “At that young age, it’s important for kids to have content that models retrospection and shows them how to be themselves. The Pout-Pout Fish—who always looks sad and grumpy—teaches kids that you don’t need to look or act in certain ways to make friends.”

We are also excited to announce that Carin Greenberg (Doc McStuffins, Tumble Leaf) will be adding her screenwriting skills to these Pout-Pout Fish productions.
